Why ‘Mental Health in Practice’
Mental Health support programmes such as Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Mental Fitness, and CARE Conversations equip individuals and organisations with the technical skills to provide help for someone experiencing a mental health problem; however, infrequent application of skills can lead to knowledge being forgotten.
Common barriers to providing help giving to others are a lack of confidence, skills, or knowledge of appropriate action to take. Mastery of the skills involved in having mental health conversations develops from practicing these abilities in a safe and encouraging environment.
HSE Global has designed Mental Health in Practice as an interactive session to build upon existing foundational skills, enhance knowledge and improve condence. The session is specic to your organisation and allows a platform for relevant organisational mental health concerns to be discussed.
